When InnovAntennas began manufacturing our antenna designs with WiMo in Germany, one of the first questions we faced was: how do we get these antennas into the hands of operators across the Americas without them paying a fortune in shipping and import duties from Europe?

Based in Tallmadge, Ohio — inside the massive Summit Racing Equipment superstore — DX Engineering isn't just an online retailer. They're a destination. ### What's Available

The InnovAntennas range at DX Engineering includes our most popular models:

DXR Series Multiband HF Beams — nine models covering 3 to 7 bands on a single boom, with no traps, no matching links, and no hairpins. Full-size or capacity-loaded elements, aviation-grade aluminium, and a square boom design that eliminates element twist. These are the antennas I spent years optimising to achieve the best possible balance between boom length, element count, and real-world performance. Models range from the DXR3-MKII tri-band (20/15/10m) up to the DXR7 14-element 7-band Yagi.

LFA Yagis for VHF and UHF — the Loop Fed Array design that put InnovAntennas on the map. The LFA provides an ultra-low noise front-end for your radio, meaning you hear weak signals that other antenna designs bury in noise. Available for 50 MHz, 70 MHz, and 144 MHz, with element counts from 2 to 20 elements depending on the model.

Speciality antennas — including our 40m rotatable dipole, 13-element HF log periodic dipole array, 10-element band-optimised log periodic (BOLPA), and compact 6/4m dual-band Yagis.

### Why It Matters

I've spent the better part of two decades designing antennas — the LFA, the OP-DES, the OWL, the BOLPA. Every one of those designs started in EZNEC, was refined in Ansys HFSS, and was tested in the real world before it ever went into production. The thing about antenna design is that it only matters if the antenna actually reaches the operator — properly manufactured, properly supported, and ready to go up on the tower.
