Antennas // 1.25m Band
1.25m Antennas.
The 222 MHz band is a North American exclusive — a quiet, capable slice of VHF that Region 2 operators have largely to themselves.
The 1.25m band at 222 MHz is unique to the Americas — IARU Region 2 operators hold an allocation that Europe and most of the rest of the world simply never received. That exclusivity keeps it quiet, and the band rewards the stations that take it seriously: propagation sits usefully between 2m and 70cm, with excellent tropo performance and a dedicated weak-signal community, particularly across the United States and Canada.
We build 1.25m antennas as true designs for the band, not scaled afterthoughts. The LFA architecture carries to 222 MHz intact — the closed-loop feed, the clean pattern and the low-noise receive — for VHF enthusiasts, contest rovers and EME stations working one of the most under-served allocations in the hobby.
